I kind of love the idea of Steve being bi. Like, when he was younger, he’d see a guy and think he was good looking, but he’d just stamp that down or chalk it up to being an artist and finding beauty in everything. Then he meets Peggy and he really likes her so he thinks of himself as “fixed”.

When he wakes up in our time he stumbles into learning about the different kinds of genders and sexual orientations and it just hits him like “Oh. I guess that explains it.” And after New York when things settle in to something like a routine and he actually has a chance to look around and Natasha starts on her mission to set him up, he starts to really accept and become okay with being attracted to men and women.

One day when they’re heading out on a mission, Natasha brings up another woman from SHIELD and Steve just goes “What about that guy who works in reception?” and he says it casually, but he’s really sort of nervous because she’s the first person he’s told. Natasha just pauses for a beat and looks at him before shaking her head “Kevin? No, he’s got a terrible hair cut. You can do better.” And after that she starts including guys in the people she suggests to him.

idk I just like that headcannon

I like the quietness of it. Appropriate to him, I think.

SOUNDS THAT FEEL GOOD: ASMR

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli.

In other words it’s a brain orgasm from certain things. It makes people feel good. Some examples are ear-cleaning and whispering.

Not everyone experiences it and it’s a controversial phenomena. But listen to this audio of crinkling plastic. Did it give you a brain tingle?

You can look on YouTube for more examples of ASMR, also here’s a reddit thread where you can find more audio

Also here’s a wiki article where you can find more information on ASMR

ASMR: It’s a real thing. I’ve had this “phenomenon” for as long as I can remember (though this example doesn’t “do” it for me, the crackling sound is too fast - check out  some of the other examples, or youtube for ASMR, loads there). It feels a little bit like one of these things:

… but better. It’s not only sound either - I once sat through an entire Teppanyaki dinner tingling from head to foot watching the Chef prepare our food.

Looking through the comments of my post, it’s different for different people. Some girl got it from watching people draw, others got it from heavy music.

I encourage you all to look up for audio examples and find one that suits you! :)
